How dictating on a computer actually goes

The desktop app is not the phone keyboard ported to a laptop — a computer already has a keyboard. Qenzo sits in the menu bar on a Mac and in the tray on Windows and Linux, and stays out of the way until you ask for it:

Hold a key and speak. Hold both Control keys, or the hotkey (Control + Space on Windows and Linux, Control + Shift + Space on macOS, where the fn key works as well). You can change it.
Let go. The recording stops, the text is written, and it is typed into whatever window had the cursor — a browser field, Slack, an email, a document, a terminal, an editor. Nothing is copied between apps by hand.
It is finished text, not a transcript. The filler, the false starts and the sentence you abandoned halfway do not reach the other person; punctuation and capitalisation are done for you.
The language you speak and the language it writes are two separate choices. Speak Russian, send English. Speak Armenian, send German. 140 languages each way, picked per dictation rather than per keyboard.

One account, phone and computer
